Case Study:

Club Nova, a nonprofit organization and community center located near Chapel Hill, NC, reached out to us in need of a complete rebrand and website overhaul. They had a predetermined budget (grant) and needed to maximize every dollar in order to increase online traffic, boost engagement, and increase donations with special attention given to their new $5 million capital building campaign.

After visiting the staff and its members there at the center, the warm, infectious culture at Club Nova was moving, to say the least. This nonprofit organization was such a light to those in need of housing, warm meals, friends, life enrichment, hope, and a place to call “home” – especially to those with serious mental illness.

while staying within their nonprofit grant budget…

Logo Design

Club Nova came to us with the clear stipulation they wanted to keep heavy use of their previously chosen purple color, so we set out to facelift their brand with that in mind.

Hope. Belonging. Dignity. Purpose. All of these mission-based concepts needed to be represented in Club Nova’s new logo design and into their branding, overall. We took aim at the building a new look that would be hopeful, uplifting, and emotive. Our team collaborated closely with the directors of the organization, and through several sets of concepts we finally nailed down a logo that worked for everyone and their mission.

After laying a foundation of thorough research on target audience, user engagement, and industry trends, we began building their website and online presence, helping with their content strategy along the way. The goals of the all new UX were to combine their mission, success stories, and new building goals with the ask for donations. We accomplished this by using approachable, uplifting photography and building key site pages to make the reader feel involved. From the first few seconds, we aimed to introduce the viewer to Club Nova’s culture of hope and belonging.
