We seek a reliable, creative, strategic, and experienced Senior Web UX/UI Designer. Chariot has seen positive growth, and we need an experienced designer to lead design projects from end to end.
The ideal candidate is familiar with brand guides, typography, color theory/strategy, target audiences, journey maps, UX/UI psychology, page flow, mobile-first design, responsive and adaptive design, intuitive UI, and building complete website mockups. Please Note that experience and leadership ability are not all we are looking for. FIRST and foremost, a designer’s style & strategy need to mesh with our and our clients’ needs.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
- Figma (expert level)
- Adobe Programs (Photoshop, Illustrator; knowledge of XD, Sketch, and other programs would be a plus)
- Building client-ready web design presentations
- Leading presentation video calls with clients
- Validating UX/UI choices, Demonstrating interactive elements
- Wireframes & Site Mapping
- Journey Maps, User Flow, etc.
- Logo Design & Branding
- Basic understanding of SEO Elements & Page Structure
- Experience and skilled at designing around Accessibility standards
- Building clean, organized design files that leverage Figma’s best functions
- Pixel-perfect, developer-ready design files
- Working with and leading other junior designers
A plus would be:
- Print Design knowledge (CMYK, Prepress, Bleed, Dielines, etc.)
- Basic knowledge of content marketing and on-page SEO
- Any experience with video editing / animation
Required Qualities:
- Good at problem-solving on a micro and macro level
- Must have a style that is fresh, on-trend, and strategic
- Designer accustomed to pushing themselves creatively, with a portfolio that proves it
- Up-to-date on the latest design trends and UX/UI practices
- Experienced in custom web development possibilities
- Experienced with navigating creative, objectives, budget, content, and audience to create cohesive, impressive designs.
- Experienced in ideating modern, interactive design elements (animations, hovers, scrolls, etc.). Will need to show examples.
- Self-reliable; efficient at proofing own work to catch errors before internal QA or client review.
- Accountable for all facets of design while also being a team player
- Experienced in validating design decisions to team/clients
100% Remote / Work from Home, but Eastern or Central time zones are preferred.
Salary range will be commensurate with experience & capabilities.
